Sadly, they seem to be taking their time to provide the slides for
CL115 Novell Open Enterprise Server: Roadmap and Futures

My notes were not that good for that session either :-(

Do you work with Novell technologies at a university, college or school?
If so, your campus could benefit from joining the Novell Technology
Transfer Partners (TTP) group. See www.novell.com/ttp for more details.

If they could please also post *all* the updated slides to SlideShare,
that'd be nice. Things got real confusing here when the boss was looking at
the slides on SlideShare, but the ones from the Session Catalog were updated
with additional slides/etc. So I was talking about things like GroupWise
Ascot, but the SlideShare slides are the outdated ones that only talk about
Windermere..

I've been told that the slides available via SlideShare are not the
official release (why they're there at all puzzles me since it
complicates things).

However archives (zip files) of presentations for each track are now
publicly (though I think you might need a Novell.com account) available
for download from novell.com/brainshare - see Sessions Presentations
link on the right-hand side.

Yes so I saw after downloading the 100+ MB Collaboration file late last
night but I'm working on it ...

Is there any update to this as it's mad that we can't at least get an
idea of what Novell's story is for OES.

Thanks

Roger

Well, from the slides from some other OES related sessions, it appears
that the only thing planned for 2010 is OES2SP3 while OES3 is pushed to
somewhere later on in 2011.

I'm not to worried about the version numbers, just what is going to be
fixed and updated :)

Also the availablity of a roadmap document can be considered as a good
hint that there is a roadmap :)

Also, this session was one of the "hard to follow" ones - where having
the slide deck was almost a requirement. It was rather full as well.

It's funny how the replies read. With Marcel's comments focussed on the
fact that we can only expect a dot release, but your comment indicates
the slides are worth looking at due to the amount of info they
contained.

I wonder if the same (or even an updated) session is being presented at
BrainShare Europe. Maybe someone registered could take a look, and us
know here if the slides show up for that.

You beat me to it!

I'd heard it was going to be included but wanted to double-check first
(given my previous messages).

The archive files are still there but the index page to them has now
been replaced to advertise next years events.

Fortunately I used a download manager to get them so I know what the URL
is - try http://www.novell.com/docrep/2010/06/Collaboration_AMSTERDAM.zip
