hi ia ma new user of border manager 3.5 , please i need help urgent
about the instalation of this, (please excuse my english i dont wrote
and dont speak this , well so, so), please refer me where i find
explicit help about the instalation , i have many problems whit many
client, i try to install the proxy may i dont not navigate i the
internet and dont make connections whit the client/computers whit the
novell server 5.0 i try to connect whit the ip and ipx protocol, i can
connect to internet only trough real ip address may not whit the proxy,
thanks for your atention.

You can get some documentation on the product at
documentation.novell.com, and more in the NWADMN32 online help. There
are several books on BorderManager 2.1 and 3.0, and mine (see URL
below) which covers 3.0 and 3.5.

In the IPX/IP Gateway, you are much better off to NOT use IPX/IP
Gateway! Just put TCP/IP on the PC's and control the use with Proxies
& Access Rules.

hi Cesar,

your BM server must have two interfaces, one private (with a registered
IP address) and one public (with a "private" IP address)
The w/s must be connected on the private side, with private IP
addresses.
The default gateway of the w/s must the the private IP address of the BM
server.
These are the first steps.
Follow the online documentation for setting up the proxy, and write
again here for specific issues.
