ACL with a group not working, but work with user name

I have configured a IPX/IP Gateway and have setup ACL's so users can
browse through the firewall. If I restrict who can get through it by
NDS objects only some work. If I choose "ANY" of a specfic user it
works, but if I choose a group with those same users, they are unable
to get out. Any ideas.

hi Jeff,

did you refresh the access rules? The changes of the access rules, in
particular when you add a remove users from groups, are NOT dynamic. The
server reads the rules at least once a day, but you can refresh the
server after a modification, and this should be enough.
Please, try again.

That did not work. It is interesting, when I specify individual users
only those users can get through. but if I specify a group of users,
that group can't get through. I have tried the refresh.

What version of BMgr, and what version of NetWare? Check your patches

do you see the message about the ACL updated on the server console?
Does it report the right number of rules?
Did you look at TID 2931700 about how rules relate to contexts?

Thanks for the input. When I said the refresh button did not work, I
was wrong. After further investagation I had another issue that had to
be solved. Thank again
