Why upgrade from BM 3.0?

I have the software for Boarder Manger 3.0, but it has never been
installed. Is there any reason why I shouldn't install it and instead
go straight to 3.5 or 3.6? I just don't want to put it in the tree
and then have to deal with a necessary upgrade down the road.
