hi to all,
i have a problem and i hope you can help me.

We had a novell server with novell 4.10. Some clients are used windows nt as
workstation.
The language of novell and nt is german. If we installed software like word
excel or other on the nt workstation novell had some problems. If the admin
logs on novel, there are no problems. If the normal user logs on novell and
starts a application the follow error message appears:

"Cannot load NETWARE.DRV Netware.drv displays english text.
NWLANGUAGE='deutsch'
contact network administrator"

and then sometimes

"NWGDI.DLL version 2.03 is required. Version 2.02 is currently loaded.
Install version 2.03 or greater to correct this problem. You may continue,
but some NetWare functions are disabled."

Whats the problem?
Where can I get the version 2.03?

Please help an write to the follow adress: gke_c...@t-online.de

Best regards, Ingenfeld

Though I have not seen this problem,
one thing that may help others is knowing which version of the Novell Client is
loaded and whether any patches had been applied to it.

Note: Client 4.8 for German should be available any day, if it is not available
today.

I have sent NWGDI.DLL v2.03 to you. But I think maybe there is more to
the problem then just that. You don't state what version of the NT client
you are running. I could help you better if I know that.

As for the language problem with the client, again it will help to know
what version of the client this is you are running.

I tried to send you NWGDI.DLL v2.03 but it bounced back. Please post an
address I can send this to.

Had the same problem on customer sites with clients 4.6, 4.7, 4.8.
Accounts with local adminstrative rights logged in without errors.
Accounts with User or POWER USER rights received the mentioned errors.
Additionally we got lots of broken profiles.

We set the language attribute of the user object to ENGLISH and the error went
away.
Maybe this helps.

That sounds reasonable. Another SysOp says he's seen it when an older
non-english client was installed prior. In that case, deleting the older
language directory (\winnt\system32\nls\deutch for example) fixed it.
