Dear all,

In my glossary i have an entry for delta (greek letter) electrons. I get the following error:

I believe this has to do with latex not knowing whether this entry should be at the top or bottom of the glossary. Anyone has any idea on how to fix this?

Thanks in advance

Please copy here your glossary entry that is giving you problems.

\newglossaryentry{delta-electron}{
    name = {\ensuremath{\delta}\text{-electron}},
    description = {Electrons created during a ionization process with sufficient energy to induce further ionizations}
}

Hello,

Have you had any chance of looking this up?

Thank you so much

Hi,

The easiest solution is to replace the \ensuremath{…} with $…$, i.e.,

\newglossaryentry{delta-electron}{
    name = {$\delta$\text{-electron}},

    description = {Electrons created during a ionization process with sufficient energy to induce further ionizations}
}

although it may become a problem if you reference this entry when already in math mode.
