Hi Dorothy,

In the Editor Global Configuration, set the Doctype option to Mixed. This is the recommended option for most sites.

Alternatively, install JCE Pro 2.9.94 RC - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/downloads/editor/pro/development

This is on Joomla 5.3.3. It has Gantry 5.5.25 also but even backend custom modules are not able to be edited using JCE. Please advise! I did the upgrade but now have to circle back on a number of sites that might have this problem. I did not see it mentioned specifically online...
