Joomla.org: Back from the Dead and Ready to Rock!

At the beginning of October, Joomla.org sites have suffered downtime
due to an update of their hosting provider. Since last October 2,
everything is back to normal, and you can now access all Joomla.org
sites you need.
First Release Candidate of Joomla 5 (and 4.4)

We already have available the first release candidate of Joomla 5 and
Joomla 4.4 (which is the bridge to migrate to Joomla 5). In this
version, many problems that appeared in the first betas have been
fixed and usability improvements and code optimizations have been
added. It's time to test the best Joomla version ever. 😉

Iconic Protostar Template Returns to Joomla 4

The beloved Protostar template, once the default for Joomla 3, makes a
triumphant comeback in Joomla 4, all thanks to the efforts of
JoomlaTema. Discover the nostalgia and modernity seamlessly blended in
this exciting update!
Extensions directory adds tags for Joomla 5

The Joomla Extensions Directory (JED) has added tags to mark
extensions as compatible with Joomla 5. Two tags have been added, one
indicating full compatibility and the other indicating compatibility
only with the backwards compatibility plugin enabled.

Joomlaverse in the first week of October 2023

We start the month of October with many very interesting publications
about Joomla:

JoomlaShack has published a new edition of its monthly Joomla
newsletter with all the relevant Joomla news in September.
Formativ agency tells us how they experienced the JoomlaDay DACH
(in German).
RedShop component for creating online stores with Joomla will
have a version for Joomla 4.
DJ-Extensions summarizes in its latest article all the updates
that have been made in their extensions.
We were at JoomlaDay ES and saw great sessions, but beforhand
Sergio Iglesias already showed us a preview of his presentation,
called: Process of migration to Joomla 4 (in Spanish).
On his YouTube channel, Learn Joomla Fast offers us a quick
course to win customers with Joomla landing pages and ChatGPT.
Tim Davis tells us on YouTube how to change the look and feel of
the Joomla extension installer and how Joomla's Upload and Install
functionality can fix your Joomla update problems.

We also have the following events:

Tim Davis has scheduled for next October 11, a broadcast with
Olivier Buisard, explaining the new features of Joomla 5.
YooTheme announces a masterclass on dynamic content with
YooThemePro (in German) that will be held at their Hamburg office as
an in person event on October 12.

And we found these relevant releases:

Kunena, the popular forum extension reaches version 6.1.4 stable,
better adapted for Joomla 4 and with code refactorings that improve
its compatibility with PHP 8.2 and with no MySQL databases.
JoomShaper released EasyStore, a new extension for managing
online stores and ecommerce with Joomla.
DJ-Extensions updated all its accessible templates to Joomla 4

Halloween is coming and with it new discounts on our favorite
extensions and templates. And we found:

An article by DJ-Extensions with a list of Halloween discounts
