Hello,

I was wondering whether you have run into this issue.

I had a version of a site working on Joomla 4, but now with the most
recent version of Joomla 5 and RS Forms Pro, I am getting 406 -- Not
Acceptable when editing / saving changes to a form in the backend.  I
can back browser away from it, but I get it even when cancelling
changes. So as this stands, I can't make any backend form changes.

This is supposedly related to mod_security, which I would need to figure
out what rule is being violated to turn that off unless I turn the whole
thing off.

Note though, that this is also on a different hosting provider
(InMotion) rather than HostGator, as HostGator could not provide the
required database. So this could just be an InMotion mod_security
issue.  I have not yet fiddled with it sufficiently, but it's getting
late tonight so I thought I would see if anyone else had run into this.

I am also getting "unable to instantiate mail" from RS Forms although I
can send test mail from Joomla.  It would be nice to be able to edit the
form to test!

Dorothy

Have you enabled debug and maximum error messages and got any trace info from that?

Hey Dorothy,

I haven't seen the mod_security issue, however I have been vexed by the
'unable to instantiate email' issue
<https://www.rsjoomla.com/support/documentation/rsform-pro/frequently-asked-
questions/could-not-instantiate-mail-function-error.html> . The long and
short of it, in my case, was that the 'Send From' field in the form has to
be a validated email from that server if you're using PHP Mail. OR, it could
be a validated email address using SMTP. I've gotten into the habit of using
the Global:mailfrom field on the form, which represents From Email value in
the Global Configuration.
