As mentioned in the mass BCC'd emails to you all, :D Here is what I
am proposing for September or October.
We celebrate the end of Summer with a big ole Pit Bull BASH!
No no, not abusing our Pits or anything, LOL dang you guys are overly
sensitive today. LOL I'm talking a big ole BBQ with lots of food and
drink and Pittie Love. :D
I'd be willing to start perusing the local National State Park
websites for a place where we could gather for a day to share out
experiences, goals accomplished, heartache, and success.
I'll be on the look out for a park that might have a fenced in area we
could use as a 'dog park'. But I'll get back to ya on that.
So, anyone overly interested??

I would prefer a State Park or what about Manassas Battlefield where
they are grills and picnic tables? Just an idea. I'm not too fond of
Shirlington unless we are in our own enclosed area.
Me and Cocoa will definitely be there. We will finally be moving the
weekend of Sept. 28 so please don't schedule it for then! Please!
Not to worry hun, we won't be doing anything like what I'm hoping to
plan for at Shirlington, entirely too small.

What, are you special or something? LOL Don't worry about it, we'll
work it for ya.. LOL
So, need help moving? I'd be happy to if you need it. :D

I've begun working on this folks. :D I'm so excited! Jess, thanks
for the tip on Crocket Park, I'm checking it out.
Anyone else have any ideas? Just so I touch all bases for us.

Anyone know anything about Frying Pan Park? Lake Fairfax County Park
(it's in Reston)? Nottoway in Vienna? Meadowlark in Fairfax?
Sorry! Also, possibly a Sunday? Everything awesome is on Saturdays and
I work that day.
I love you all!!!

I'm still working on this. But right now, our only real option is the
Fauquier County SPCA in Casanova, Virginia. That is down around
Warrenton, Virginia.
There are no picnic tables, no grills, BUT there are 2 really nice
secured fenced in areas that they would consider allowing us to use
for an afternoon.
We would need to set up a list of what is being brought by whom? We'd
need at least 3 good size portable grills for the dogs, burgers,
chicken and sausage and what ever else anyone wants to bring.
Soda, chips, doggie treats (working with a Bakery to see if they won't
supply some Doggie Goodies and a Dog friend Cake), people treats,
salads, veggies, etc.
So, if everyone is interested in a day trip to Warrenton Virginia,
lets begin working on this and set up a List of who's bring what?

Any more progress on setting something up??? We would definately be
interested. Rocky is finally over his CPV (doggie warts, ick) and
ready to mingle :)

Maybe we should get people to commit to something in certain areas:
Hosting, Food, Drink, Supplies, & Doggie items?
I guess the key is probably to get a location with a fenced in area
for the dogs?
I don't know about other people but Turk isn't spot on with his recall
so if he's not in
an enclosed area I don't feel comfortable unless I have an eye on him.

I'm new to the group and I would love to bring my doggies...I have a
pit pup who is 6months old and a 1 year old shih tzu. I was wondering
if this has already taken place and if not if we could come?

Nope, it's not happened yet, still working feverishly to see that it
does. :( But things are still up in the air.
