to NoVa Pit bull Play Group
Just wanted to bring this to the attention of the group promise to
keep it short and sweet. Tyson was a pit bull who was terminated in
the back of an animal control van because of his breed. I got my
first pit bull for valentines day, her name is Karma. She had brought
more love into my life than any dog before her. I am trying to help
Tyson's owners with this because had it been Karma that was destroyed
I would be devastated.

Tyson was a healthy dog and on his way to his forever home when a very
bad thing happened. He slipped his collar and ran away. The rescue
group he had been fostered by looked for 3 days for him, they put up
posters, went door to door, and did everything the animal control
website told them to do if you lose your pet. They called animal
control, showed pictures of the dog to animal control and still no
word on what became of him. 3 days after he went missing after a lot
of pressure from his owners they were finally told what happened to
him. They suspected him of having Parvo and so they terminated him in
the back of the van he was picked up in. No test, no paperwork filed
out regarding him even being picked up, then they stuck his body in a
freezer and forgot about it.

His entire story in detail can be found on the RIP Tyson facebook
page. They have asked that I contact any and all pit bull bulletin
boards and get his story out. They are trying to get signatures on a
petition so that this doesn't happen to another pit bull owner. I
will include the website for the petition at the end of this.

I hope I have kept this short enough, it is my first post. I am new
to pit bulls. I only have the experience with Karma to go by. But
she is the most loving dog on the planet and she has taught me that
not only does the world not revolve around me but that I have an
obligation to her and other pits to do my best to make this the best
world I can for her to be in.

Thanks for listening
