I'm not sure if anyone else has run into a problem similar to this.

I'm currently deployed in Afghanistan. My wife is home with our kids. She hasn't established dominance over our pit and he has been testing her as of late!!! He has become seemingly very jealous and overprotective. When I'm home I always reinforce the idea that I am the alpha, as well as everyone in the house is above him. I have the hardest time getting the wife to do so as well.

Any suggestions?

Thx,

Donivan

Donivan,

First off, THANK YOU for your service and your family's sacrafice!

I'm sure there are a few here who would be most happy to step in and
help teach your wife how to establish dominance over your dog if she's
interested.

Also, I would be happy to put her in touch with Aja Harris of Mutt
Magic, http://www.muttmagic.com/, Aja is out of Baltimore, but well
worth the travel time for the training she offers and the extended
knowledge of the breed. She helped me begin to work wonders with my
over jealous boy, Angus.

As for suggestions, have her sign on and join if she'd like, because
in order to help her, we'll need your wife to tell us what she's
doing, how the dog is behaving and what problems she's running into.
She'll need to explain what you mean when you say 'the dog is testing
her'.

Keep Safe and God Speed toward home!!
