Hi everyone,

I'm _really_ excited by the energy our hacknight has seen in the past few weeks. We've got a lot of interesting projects going on and a lot of interesting people of varied backgrounds talking about local community indicators, playgrounds, mapping, data viz, SBIR funding data and more.

It's all great timing for our upcoming CodeAcross hackathon which will be hosted at the National Science Foundation on Feb. 22-23. If you haven't already, please do RSVP here on our Eventbrite site: http://www.eventbrite.com/e/codeacross-northern-virginia-nova-2014-tickets-10255126359

Also, a few weeks back at our planning meeting we discussed the significance of telling stories about what we do at our hacknights and events, and as well, other types of roles/activities that would be helpful to steer and sustain our efforts.

To assist in our organization efforts, Code for America Brigade has some upcoming training in February for the "Storyteller" role, and a "Delivery lead" role which is involved with project management/planning for all ongoing projects. If you are interested in the training or finding out more about these roles, please email me and I can get you connected.

Thanks!
-Michelle
