Dear Code for NoVA members,

The Club for Open Data Enthusiasts (C.O.D.E.), a volunteer employee club at the USPTO will be hosting a web scripting basics workshop on November 19th from 1-3pm. The workshop is part of a workshop series designed to help USPTO employees (who are subject matter experts on patent examining, and patent classification) become more involved with IP open data related open source projects.

Many members of our club are totally unfamiliar with web scripting, and so this is an opportunity to help inspire beginners be empowered to write their own apps. If you have the time and experience/knowledge with Python or Ruby, please let me know as we are in need of some experienced programmers to help lead the session. I'll be moderating the session, so you wont be by yourself! Thanks for any help or interest in volunteering for helping to lead the web scripting workshop.

Best,
Michelle

I'll be in class this afternoon, evening, and tomorrow from 9:00am till 10:10pm -- of course, I only have to go in 2-1/2 days each week, so a packed schedule has it's advantages.

If you can, call me after 9:00am this Thursday or Friday.  My cell number is 703.915.8593
