Hey Everyone,

Tomorrow's meetup will be a special treat - we will be hosting our designer friends at Design Alexandria. Come by with your questions about design, and especially anything specific to a NoVA Brigade project you're working on!

Here's our planned agenda:

7:05 pm: Intros - Name, background, your interest/experience with design

7:30: Code for NoVA's dabblings with design:

       Some suggested topics to explore:

• Design for Hackers - "Reverse engineering beauty" - David Kadavy's insights and articulations as to his thought process/framework in designing.
  
• Work alongside professional design shops / outsourcing of design - is it for the best?
• Use of popular & well established platforms for turn-key design like twitter bootstrap
• Our development focus on Agile and how that ties into design (is there Agile design?)

8:00: Our projects/feedback - tied into design themes:

       Some suggested topics:

• Public Relations - our NDoCH poster
  
• Working with design shops: Alexandria Plays
  
• Hacker philosophy - "no problem should ever have to be solved twice"- use of Twitter bootstrap: Our new webpage (under development)
• Text messages & design (Alexandria Plays - people text address (including Alexandria VA to 703.520.2676)) - this number works - critique of design of returned text message
