Most of the cheats I try in Sims 4 are not working. I usually play without cheats, so this is the first time I tried using them in The Sims 4 (although I think I used the motherlode cheat just after my sister and I got the game to see if it is still the same, and it worked). Her game's cheats are working perfectly fine, but mine aren't, all of the sudden.

I thought typing "testingcheats true" first would help - it worked (says "Cheats are enabled"), but the other cheats like motherlode, freerealestate, katching, etc. still don't work. I didn't try all cheats as that would take forever, so I can't name all that aren't working. I updated my game today as well, but still nothing. I haven't played the game for a month, but I didn't change or move any files in the mean time. I don't see why it would suddenly stop working...

This Sims 4 Cheats and Secrets guide details everything you need to know about cheat codes on the PS4 and PS5 consoles. In addition, this cheats guide will also detail how to enter cheats, as well as a complete list of all cheat codes, such as career and relationship-based cheats, unlimited money, and much more.

It is also important to note that, unlike the PC version, you will also have to give up earning Achievements and Trophies should you wish to activate cheats. Before we continue, please note that the following list of cheats and secrets has yet to be fully tested on the PS4/PS5, so keep that in mind when entering them into your game.

Once opened, the cheat console will appear as a thin box at the top of the screen. Into that, you can type any of the cheats below or on other pages. To close the cheat console, simply press the same keys or buttons.

While motherlode and rosebud are beloved cheats, an easier way to get your sims the Simoleons they need is by typing "Money X" with X being the amount you want to give your household. You can also use this to subtract funds from your household.

In the Objects by Function menu select the Decorations tab. Go to the Misc decorations, scroll through all the new items, and you'll find Sugar Skulls and the other event collectibles. Buy them, drop them in the world, and have your Sims put the items in their inventory to have them add it to their "Household Collections."

While in the cheats console for the PS4 or PS5, if you enable additional cheats using the testinghcheats true code and then type in cas.fulleditmode, you will enable all CAS abilities. Then you can press X + Circle on the selected sim to enable the sim or object interaction menu.

The MoveObjects (or Move_Objects) cheat is a classic from the Sims franchise, and it returns in The Sims 4. To activate it, you must first open the cheat console. Into the box, type the following line including punctuation:

MoveObjects used to be used in the Sims franchise to shift household objects when Sims were stuck. The cheat is no longer necessary for this; even without cheats or mods, you can move objects at any time even if a Sim is interacting with them, and the Sim will terminate their actions and reset themselves to a nearby tile.

hello i am still having this problem if anyone has advice of what i can do i would greatly appreciate it so much!! I bought this game awhile ago and haven't played because i cant figure it out..I like the free real estate and the money cheats there awesome!! I made my sim and I'm at the part where your looking at your city an picking what house you want to live in...so I go to add the free real estate and obviously i open the cheat box and either it has an error code that its not a right cheat or something or it just erases what you wrote and doesn't enter the cheat or do anything just keeps the cheat box up empty..and i tried again when it went blank repetitively and the same thing kept happening!! I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!

I finally tried to give Sims 4 a try-out after being totally discouraged by Sims 3. Anyway I opened up the cheat box and got an error message cannot execute above command when trying to enter the motherlode cheat. My thing with the Sims is house building and designing. I was very surprised to see that this has been a longstanding problem for many people for several years. I didn't however notice any solution in the forums. I'm not in builder mode, I have tried both control/shift/c and testing cheats on and neither was effective with kaching or mother lode. Has anyone come up with a solution?

I was experiencing the same thing. Basically, if you click on the build icon from when you click on the house, you can't do money cheats. You have to click on "play" and from there click build mode (in the top right corner) and you can do all the cheats.

I'm on a mac and I tried motherlode as it says, motherhood, and motherload. Apparently, they all don't work. I was even with my friend and she said she got it working but she was on windows. also, my friend tried it on her other friend's mac but it doesn't work. I am concerned that this actually does affect mac. Also, do you know if MacBook Air has anything to do with it because that is what I have.

Using these The Sims 2 cheats will unlock unlimited simoleons, change the appearance of the game, and do all sorts of extra things to help you and your sims out. It's an old game and if you've run out of all the things you can do naturally in the game, why not go crazy with a few Sims 2 codes and cheats to spice things up a little.

At any time in the game press select button and go to the perk screen and go to buy perks. you will see a selection of perks that you can buy. hold down the L, R and Square buttons for 3 seconds. A new perk will appear with a picture of a purple heart called cheat.

Since The Sims franchise has been about living one's fantasy life since its very conception, there isn't really any judgment towards players who like to use cheats. In fact, over the years, cheats have become a pretty essential part of the game itself, an iconic feature without which the franchise just wouldn't be what it is today.

Moreover, not all cheats are used just to get more money or free mansions. Cheats have become a necessity in more recent installments in order to facilitate storytelling and to build better, more immersive lots with all the possible tools at hand. Let's take a trip down memory lane and check some of the most iconic cheat codes that have ever existed in the franchise.

Getting the nicest houses was always a struggle in the first two games. Players would need to use money cheats at first by moving their family on an empty lot and then moving again in order to cover the costs for a brand new home.

This changed, however, with the introduction of the freerealestate on/off cheat in The Sims 3. The cheat could be used during the moving phase, which would essentially make every lot and house free. It was also implemented in The Sims 4, and has definitely made the lives of many Simmers a thousand times easier.

Editing Sims after they had been created was a near impossibility in The Sims, aside from buying new clothes. However, in The Sims 2, mirrors would allow a certain form of editing, and some special reward items would also let players control genetics.

Nowadays, with the introduction of cas.fulleditmode, players can fully edit any Sim in the world in the CAS screen at any time. That also includes personality and aspirations, as well as genetics. No more ugly townies, or weird clothing combinations!

It's pretty evident that the development team for the franchise has always had an excellent sense of humor. One of the great examples of this is found in The Sims 3, which introduced a cheat that many may have never even heard of, but which deserves to be named as an iconic addition.

Money cheats have always been the bread and butter of the game, and kaching in particular has been around for quite some time as a cheat. In fact, it was introduced way back in The Sims 2, which made money cheats so much easier to use compared to The Sims.

Kaching is different from another famous money cheat in the sense that it only gives 1000 simoleons to the household at a time. However, it also allowed players to control the amount of added simoleons a bit better without getting rid of bulk money cheats entirely.

Nessie is a rare easter egg that has only appeared in two different games in the franchise. It first appeared in The Sims, which also featured a special cheat to make it appear in the neighborhood scene. Players simply had to type in Nessie into the command bar while in neighborhood view.

With bigger worlds came more objects, and that was pretty much the legacy of The Sims 3, along with its laggy expansions. Buydebug on/off would allow players to toggle on or off the visibility of various debug items included in the game.

In The Sims 4, the cheat is known as bb.showhiddenobjects, which includes a ton of items that developers used to "dress" and decorate the world. For builders in particular, these two cheats were a huge help as it granted them access to more objects that would help make buildings look more natural and blend into the world.

In the first game of the series, players didn't actually have to turn on cheats separately. It was only in The Sims 2 that the classic testingcheats command finally appeared for the first time. Who could forget this iconic line: boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true/false.

Later games like The Sims 3 and The Sims 4 changed this formula to be much simpler and easier to type in: testingcheats on/off. Not only does this allow players to put in more commands, but it also opens access to Sim and mailbox cheats that are all classics to the game.
