Hello Everyone!
We're approaching the end of the outdoor season now and I hope it has been a good one for you all!
This weekend is the last of the County League shoots, hosted by Rolls royce. After the first two legs its a tight match between Burton Joyce and Welbeck, but the University have yet to shoot a second score. In both compound and jnr recurve its a straight battle between Burton Joyce and Sherwood Archers. In both divisions burton joyce can steal the win by improving on their score by just over 100 points. Make sure your team is coming down for the final leg this weekend!
The county team has struggled at the shoots this year. At the Senior Inter Counties only the recurve team could lift itself one place from bottom. Make sure you all train hard this winter and get any promising new archers to sherwood archers coaching series this winter. Hopefully next year we can contend for those coveted trophies and you can be a part of it!
The coaching section of the website has been updated! If you're a coach we will soon be detailing the seminars which will be hosted by Christine this year. If you're an archer there is the entry forms for coaching sessions this winter hosted by sherwood archers, which I cannot recommend enough. If you see someone promising at your club who may feel they need some help please draw their attention to this. (Keep an eye out for some one off coaching events which may happen this winter!)
I'd like to invite all county team members and anyone who has been to a COUNTY squad series (not the sherwood ones) to please go and fill in this online questionnaire and get your views across on coaching, team kit and selection. Its anonymous and the information gathered will be of great help to us!
