Aloha,
Just wondering if anyone out there has some advice on audio type stuff.
I run a number of pedal powered activities, which generally generate 12V DC.
I've been asked to provide a pedal powered PA system for a few bands.
I'm looking for a 6 or 8 channel audio mixer for use on this system.
It would be easiest if I could run it direct from 12VDC, but it's hard to find info about this.
Did anyone have experience of an OK quality (I'm looking for relatively low cost) audio mixer that accepts 12V dc?
I can use a dc dc converter so it could be any dc voltage up to 24V, really.

Any advice on this would be great.
If anyone has a mixer for sale then also please get in touch.
Cheers,

Matt

A friend of mine runs a DJ equipment hire business; I've passed it on to him, as he may well have a suitable answer, if not item available...

Matt, take a look at this unit: it takes a 12v DC input

Cheers Matt, I'll be interested to hear how you get on with your audio
mixer. I have a real simple audio mixer that is part of an old
analogue video mixer if nothing else works for you.

Powering a mixer should be fairly easy.

Powering a PA is more challenging, as the pedals have to generate a couple hundred watts at least.

It's feasible but I think you are going to need some big capacitors, a very chunky 12V battery and possibly a mains inverter to do that. Issue with having capacity on hand to deal with the ever changing output from pedal power.

You do at least want it louder than the person pedalling. :)
