Soft stop on laser cutter

Hi,

I'm on the laser cutter at the mo, and it is giving me a "soft stop" error everything. A quick google search says something about the file being bigger than the cut area, and a quick test with a small box drawn in the lasercut software seems to suggest the cutter is making files bigger than they are.

I tried resetting the software but no good, any tips before my time runs out?

New update, I made a mistake about it 'scaling things.' For some reason it is always heading to the bottom right corner to start jobs, no matter where I set the origin.

Have you checked to see if the 'immediate' checkbox is selected? IIRC, the laser will always start from 0,0, which is in the bottom right corner if this box isn't checked.

You'll probably want to re-calculate before downloading to the laser again, just to make sure it works

I've been going through the settings as well, as it's also cutting relative to the bed as opposed to starting relative to the selection. I have ticked that box in setting the origins?

I'd recommend resetting settings (see desktop for shortcut) since then you'll get the sane defaults. :-)
