Sand casting possible?

I've not been using the hackspace for a while, and a friend of mine has been asking if there's any facilities that could help him repair an aluminium part for his bike. I don't know if you can really weld aluminium with good results, but then I thought he could try casting a new part entirely. Do we have any facilities for sand casting and smelting aluminium, or are there any members who have them and could help him out if he got in touch?
