Hello All

I was thinking about building my own UV box for exposing PCBs (inspired after the workshop).

do you think something like this can be used as a light source?

I am not into nail art in anyway :) (yet)

I can just see you with nail extensions and pcb style traces on them... use
conductive nail varnish and solder a few SMT components on to make your own
nailduino :)

i'd imagine one of those nail driers would do the job fine, not sure if your
going to use the guts from one, and build a box with foam lined lid, glass
plate and timer, but i'd imagine even just placing the pcb under the nail
driers lamps would work.

Hehe :-) ironically,  I have very good strong nails. .. but I hate long nails,  find them repulsive. . So will give nail art etc a miss :-)

Thanks for your thoughts on this.  I think it is worth a try.  Won't cost a lot. I might give it a go and let you know :-)

That Nail Curing UV lamp works just fine. I use it for exactly this purpose, with dry film soldermask and transparency stop mask stencils.
