Continued "Authentication Failed" error in Gmail Account Information

Just setup iPhoto2Gmail. Can't wait to use it, but need some help with
the following issue.

I entered my username and password in the Gmail Account Information
window, clicked okay, and receive message, "Authentication Failed.
Please Check your Username and Password and try again."

I'm absolutely positive I'm entering the correct info, and have tried
with another Google Gmail account, but received the same error. Any
thoughts?

Hi Michael,

I have received reports from a couple of other folks that
authentication fails for them. The only cases where this happens is
when "special" characters (e.g. +, *, etc...) are part of the
password. They are -- obviously -- valid characters, however I need to
handle them properly when sending them to Google for authentication.
The next versions of the plugins will hopefully address this. I expect
to release new versions this summer.
