If you just install all the Noto fonts in your system, as instructed at
https://www.google.com/get/noto/help/install/browsers should use them at least for characters that cannot be found
in any other font in your system. There are some bugs in browsers in
this respect, but I think Chrome handles the situation OK.
This may result in a stylistic mismatch, showing characters in
some Noto fonts in the midst of some text in a rather different font.
But this is still better than seeing tofu.
If you would like to use Noto fonts as primary fonts in some browsers,
either in general or for some sites, I think the best approach is to
install the Stylebot add-on and write a piece of CSS, with some font-family
declarations with long lists of Noto fonts. (I can post some CSS code for
this if it is relevant). So it’s more complicated, but not really rocket science.
