🚀 Open PhD Position – MSCA Doctoral Network NAT-BUILD | DC14

We are looking for a highly motivated Doctoral Candidate to join the prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Doctoral Network (MSCA-DN) NAT-BUILD.

📌 DC14 Project:
Micro-encapsulated Phase Change Materials (MPCMs) for earth bricks mimicking natural salts

The project will focus on the development of salt-coated microencapsulated phase change materials to be integrated into compressed earth bricks, aiming to improve indoor hygrothermal comfort while reducing CO₂ emissions and raw material consumption.

This is a unique opportunity to work within an international, interdisciplinary and intersectoral European research network, with academic and industrial partners across Europe.

🌍 Important eligibility note:
Candidates do not need to be resident in Italy. In fact, MSCA mobility rules strongly encourage international applications. Applicants who have not lived or carried out their main activity in Italy for more than 12 months in the last 36 months may be eligible.

The MSCA programme is one of the most prestigious European funding schemes for early-stage researchers, offering excellent training, international mobility, secondments and career development opportunities.

🚀 Open PhD Position – MSCA Doctoral Network NAT-BUILD | DC15

A new Doctoral Candidate position is available within the highly prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Doctoral Network (MSCA-DN) NAT-BUILD.

📌 DC15 Project:
Energy earth bricks (NRG-BRICKs) with Phase Change Materials (PCMs) to mimic cell membranes

The selected candidate will work on the multiscale experimental and numerical characterisation of PCM-enhanced earth bricks, with the goal of reducing operational energy consumption and improving the thermal performance of buildings across different European climate conditions.

This PhD will be part of a strong European network combining materials science, building physics, numerical modelling, sustainability and industrial innovation.

🌍 Who can apply?
International candidates are strongly encouraged. Applicants do not need to be resident in Italy. Under MSCA mobility rules, candidates who have not resided or carried out their main activity in Italy for more than 12 months during the last 36 months may be eligible.
