I went into content manager and removed the Av3 and that got rid of the problem and errors and now a quest version exists. But others are saying that it is pc only. And upon the upload of the quest avatar the Windows avatar becomes the error avatar.

I finally would like to add that I have managed to get good fps twice, for some unknown reason, but if I touched any option in the fps menus I would go back to 5fps.
I am using Steam to open my game and the game launches with Steam VR but uses Open XR (I did the Regedit thing).
UPDATE: It works perfectly fps wise with Virtual Desktop, so the problem is with the link (I have both the official and an amazon link cable).
The issue with virtual desktop is you cannot get the same clarity as with the link cable by overriding the resolution on the oculus app.
Thank you a lot man, unfortunately I had already read your very detailed post, I tried following the steps but I was unfortunately unsuccesful.
I will though try to do it again and check in the task manager what is happening with my components usage and get back to you, there has to be something that is causing the fps drop through the link cable, I just cannot find what D:
Thank you a lot for your reply! One question, I read a lot of people saying you can ditch SteamVR, but you always have to launch it if you own the game in steam in order to use VR right?
Or am I getting that wrong? Is there any other way to use VR without launching the app of steamvr? If so, could you please tell me the steps I should follow?
I built my PC last week, installed windows and updated drivers etc.
I downloaded Steam
I downloaded Oculus desktop App
I installed FS2020 from Steam
I followed these instructions as per the official FS Zendesk:
Yes you can @CroppingPoem113 , I will try doing it before I format, just one more question since I do not want to bother you both any further, are these the same settings you have in your SteamVR menu? @Mobias7
I do have it, oh so you can get rid of it entirely?? Wait, that means I have been doing something wrong, I will try to launch the game directly through the headset without using steam and get back to you in a minute.
I do have the oculus tray tool but I have not used it yet!
Hey there, @Chieffieman and thanks for bringing to our attention you're also having issues being able to access Gorilla Tag through PCVR. We'd love to continue taking a further look into your experience, so we appreciate the details you have provided!
While your GPU is not supported officially with our software, we're limited to determining how PCVR games will appear. Even with that being said, we do recommend making sure the PC is fully up-to-date, as well as the headset and PC software.
The same exact thing happens to me like EXACT. I have uninstalled GT on my PC on the Oculus app then I use airlink and load GT but it loads on the PC instead of the PC and VR. I'm on quest 2. When I load GT with just the VR it's fine. PLS HELP ME
Hi there, @randomcolor! Getting you back into the PCVR world is essential to us, so we wanted to chime in to help out! In order for us to get a good idea of this situation overall, we'd like to get a bit more clarification. Please share the following details when you get a chance, and we can continue from there:
so apparently there was a button in the oculus app called "Set meta quest link as openxr runtime" and i just clicked that and now its fixed lol
you can find it in settings -> general
idk if this will work for you but i hope it does
Hey @randomcolor, thanks for reaching back out with an update about how this was resolved! We are glad everything worked out in the end and we appreciate you following up to let us know what steps you used to fix this up. If you have any other questions or concerns, please let us know, we are here to help!
The headset used to connect just fine, I was able to play steam games just fine untill last week and it even ran smooth using airlink but now both my laptop and pc tower cannot find my headset, and the headset shows both the computers names and will "pair" but the "Launch" button is grayed out/ not highlighted and therefore wont link.
Methods I've tried based on forum posts and online articles :
Sorry I haven't responded, kind of gave up. But recently an update was given to us on the headset, and now air link works with the laptop. So the problem is solved, even though our headset was updated to current versions when i posted this thread. So hey it works now
To anyone who has this weird problem like me then the best possible solution is to maybe factory reset and re-update or check your version and make sure your updated.
Another possible solution is uninstall the pc app and then factory reset your headset then boot the headset and re enter anything then reinstall the oculus pc app.
Also for the people at oculus, surprisingly the one device that's working with the air link is the laptop.
Hey there @FSPOC, the NVIDA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti isn't quite supported by the Quest software just yet. As it is still a newer card, it will take time for support to be implemented. Please do note that Oculus and Nvidia are already in discussions and working together to create support for your card! However, you can try to disable your integrated graphics card and only have the dedicated GPU enabled and prioritized.
Also, we would like to narrow this down and see if this is an issue regarding Air Link specifically, so we urge you to try a Link cable. Please let us know how this goes! We will be standing by in order to offer further assistance!
Hey there, @FSPOC! We just wanted to follow-up with you to see if you were still needing assistance with pairing your headset. Feel free to reach back out to us if you happen to have any further questions or concerns as we are always happy to help!
Graphics wasn't a problem, Also attempted Link Cable and it connects to the pc and laptop but Air link does not, and I don't believe its my WIFI either as our internet hasn't had problems and remains at 5GHz. I have also attempted to re-sync with both devices using a link cable but once the link cable is ejected, the app regards it as gone and the headset remains as "undetectable".
Sadly my internet connect is wireless, as my router is downstairs and my whole setup is upstairs, and my family doesn't want me running a cable across my home. Plus the headset ran smooth when it came to internet matters and we never had any loading problems or slow downloads when going wireless.
You've embarked on an exciting journey by deciding to merge the immersive world of VR with the realism of Microsoft Flight Simulator. As someone with considerable flight sim and PC knowledge, you'll find this process engaging, though it does have its nuances.
In Conclusion
Integrating VR into your flight sim experience transforms how you interact with the virtual skies. It might take a bit of tweaking to get everything running smoothly, but the result is well worth the effort.
Following your instructions to get my Meta Quest 3 working with MSFS2020 VR, I come to the instruction to set my "Oculus Headset As The Default Device". I can't find any setting in MSFS VR settings for Default Device, Device being a Display?
