When I test n.py with the edit option it seems like it only takes a notes number
ID as a parameter. What would be very useful if one could combine the edit
option with f.ex. the tag or find option like:

n.py -e -t reise
n.py -e -f something

Would that be possible?

You can combine the two, but you always have to give the note number to
edit as an argument, since there may be more than one note that matches
the -t or -f search, e.g.

n.py -t reise -e 1

Best wishes,
Alex

Thanks. But that is what I really would like to do, search for all notes with tags
"reise" and open them with the editor.

Then there would need to be some logic as to how to open multiple files,
and/or selected notes in a file, with the editor.
I guess this is one for Dan to comment on.

Best wishes,

It might be possible to modify nts so that

n.py -t reise -e

would pass all the files for the node numbers corresponding to the '-t reise' (or other filter) to the external editor when no other argument is provided for '-e'.

Let me think about this.

Thanks, that would be great!
