When I  run the APK with Package Installer. After it runs I get the option of DONE or RUN It makes no difference which you choose nothing happens.  If I go to the All Apps Page and tap the icon it disappears.

If I go to Settings>Apps NoteCase shows up but, the meaningful change I can make is to uninstall it.

I have tried downloading and installing directly using Firefox (download then open) on my device, and by downloading to my main system then transferring to my device (using both wired and WiFi) and installing it.

I've used  both:
Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 (SM-T860)  Android version 12
Samsung Galaxy A71 (SM-A716U1)  Android Version 13

Hi Robin,

thanks for the report. I got the similar reports from 3 other users, unfortunately I can not reproduce the issue on my devices.
I will try to get access to more devices for testing, it would help if someone could use Android debugger (adb.exe) on Windows, connected via cable or WiFi to Android and get Android logs related to the issue of starting Notecase.

The problem is peculiar, I did no changes that should impact app startup, I only updated Android studio.

Regards,
Miro

You can also try to give all the necessary permissions to NoteCase app in Android Settings > Apps, perhaps that will make the problem go away.

For me, after installation of this build the icon works as expected again. :)

I'm curious: What did you change?

Hi Daniel,
thanks for testing, I've now updated Android build online.

The issue was in the app configuration, a.k.a. AndroidManifest.xml file, where main activity got an attribute:
android:exported="false".
This prevented app to be started, although there are other activities declared that do not have this attribute.
I don't really remember when I did the change, but it worked for me.

Regards,
Miro

Hi Miro,

Sorry to be late getting back with this.  The fix dated January 16 worked as expected

Thank you
Robin
