It's nice to see other people who share my enthusiasm for notebooks.

I wanted to add a source that most people may not think about. As a
scientist, I have to keep a lab notebook at work. The lab notebooks
that are supplied to us are pretty nice, but rather specialized. There
are places where you can get similar books for your own use.

You can find similar notebooks here: http://www.eurekalabbook.com/professional_blank_books.htm

I have used their professional journal for a couple of years for
keeping seminar notes, meeting notes and the like at work. They're
pretty nice, but kind of big.

At home I generally use two books. One is a Moleskine Reporter
notebook, the second the regular Moleskine. Both work great.

I've had Eureka notebooks in mind to try for some time. They make
what they call a Record Book, which is a more compact version of the
professional journal. I might switch over to them when I've used up
my current stash of notebooks and journals.

Any comments on what the paper is like or the binding of the books
Eureka books you've used Jim?

The paper is excellent. It is bright white, and heavy. I use fountain
pens with Noodler's ink on them and there is no bleedthrough. I write
on the right hand page and leave the left hand page blank so that I
can go back and add to my notes later, and there is no bleedthrough on
the page.

I have used their Record Book as well. Paper is as good as their
Professional Journal(what I use)but in a smaller format. I like the
smaller format for my day to day stuff, but at work I like to have the
big notebook to work in.
