I'm thinking that the multipile changes are significant enough
to warrant 2.1.0 once they're closed. There's one large swath of
work remaining: https://github.com/dankamongmen/notcurses/issues/1135

I also want to get the big-endian breakage resolved:

These other issues remain open on 2.1.0:

I'd love to get https://github.com/dankamongmen/notcurses/issues/1068
done, but it's a hard problem. I encourage everyone to take a
look at it, along with my proposed solution. It's a small
problem, but a notable imperfection. It must not be allowed to stand.
