To All Air Medical Prehospital Partners:
We apologize for the ongoing construction related to the expansion of our hospital facility as we increase capacity, improve patient care services, and better meet the growing needs of our
community. As a designated Level I Trauma Center, JPS is committed to maintaining uninterrupted access for critically injured and ill patients. We are writing to inform you of
upcoming crane construction that may temporarily impact but not shutdown air medical operations to our facility on March
25th, from 7A - 7P every weekday until advised that the crane is no longer in use.
The crane is said to be onsite for max of 3 days: 3/25 – 3/27, but again, let this serve as an open notification until I send out an all clear and completion email notice.
For any inbound as well as outbound or departing flights for air medical, we will be communicating immediately through established ED communications channels to make sure crane operations are temporarily shut
down, and flights are safe to take place.
As shown in the attachment, the crane is located far from the helipad but will be used at heights up to approximately 136 feet. Please follow the same processes for communicating and transporting
patients to JPS.
If you have any questions or concerns, you may reach
Emergency Department Ambulance Triage at 817-702-8839 or
EMS Liaison & Outreach Coordinator at 817-739-6447.
Please disseminate to all operational and communications personnel. Thank you!
