to Not a Bus Route
The neighbors on Lincoln St have been arguing for a while that the bus
is incompatible with the designation of Lincoln St as a Bicycle
Boulevard, where "bicycles are given priority status". I believe that
Taylor is a bicycle route at least, and 52nd is possibly being
considered for a Bicycle Boulevard designation. I see the many
conflicts with buses and bikes on Lincoln or at least the increased
feeling of pressure from the bus that bicycles get. There should be
strong arguments for both the reroute and permanent route changing to
avoid these bicycle streets.

So we didn't overtake the reroute issue, I set up a separate group
related to the issues on Lincoln and Bicycle Boulevards. We would
welcome all those on 52nd, Taylor, 55th, Madison to join.

Thanks,
Mike

to notabu...@googlegroups.com

As creator of notabu...@googlegroups.com, I want to say that our name
speaks for itself. The original purpose was 52nd Ave, but that changed very
quickly to include other streets; perhaps in time other neighborhoods.

Thank you everyone for your participation and efforts. As witnessed by
recent
events and the email from Tom Mills to Mike Shaver, we are being heard and
our message acted upon. You even get the feeling that they want to
hear from us
(well, some of them).

Mike and lincoln_bicycle_blvd group: come back and visit us
on notabusroute any time. Let us know how it's going.

Let us know if we can help.
