hey guys, 

thanks to lindsay's enthusiasm there is some new energy in this group.   

i love the original sharing we had going on and as you know it's degraded over the years.  we've got a lot of lurkers....reading but not submitting or replying at all.  you know who you are.   

if this group has value to you, please consider starting to share with us the things you find notable in the world.  i don't want to have rules for minimum postings or anything, but to avoid that we need the group to be comprised of only people who organically care, participate, and share.  if you participate in any way in the next few weeks i'll know you're still interested in this.  otherwise, i'm going to start cleaning out the members list.

for the newbies, please do us all a favor when you initially share stuff and stick to these guidelines:

- email subject explains what's notable in a tweet-length

- you provide a paragraph or bullet point summary of the whole article and any super interesting facts, enough so that others get it without having to click through at all.

- the original link

- and if you have opinions or outside knowledge to add to the article, call that out separately from the summary.
