Help with arduino fingerprint sensor

Hi i have set up the fingerprint sensor from adafruit with the instructions from there video and have successfully enrolled fingerprints and then tested it it shows that it is accepting my fingerprint
Now I'm trying to set off a relay but it won't work iv tryed changing the code, searching for any faults everything seems in order but still won't work can anyone help me with this please
Ps I can be at the hackspace tonight if anyone will be there that can help me please do let me know

Update: after 6 hours of troubleshooting I finally figured out that I needed to set the digital pin to output and now it works
