This listserv suddenly went inactive in early August of this year.
Any updates?

Since this was basically Mark Spahns reading list, it seems to have gone quiet with him.

Care to comment on the various US proxy wars going on today?

I hope that he resurfaces.

If you mean RU<>UA, I think that has just about played out and will result in RU maintaining/re-establishing its buffer zone and a diminished UA, which might or might not become a NATO placeholder. Maybe we'll end up with another East/West divided country, like 60 years ago. Then again, someone with an itchy nuclear trigger finger could leave many of us glowing in the dark.
If you mean IL<>HAMAS, I think that IL will turn HAMAS into hummus (as the Orange One puts it), to be followed by a huge and persistent humanitarian crisis shrouded in the fog of peace.
If you mean US Constitution<>Trump, it might be that a majority of deluded voters will elect a convicted felon to be the leader of the free world, and welcome to the world of illiberal democracy.

Thoughts?

I hope so too.

About your thoughts:
1) There is no RU<>UA conflict, this is 100% a USA<>RU proxy war, and thankfully it is nearing its end, as the US regime needs its resources to support IL. Wait for a face-saving coup-d'etat in Kiev, reversing the US-sponsored one from 2014.
2) I agree that IL will turn the current low-level Hamas rats hiding under the Shifa hospital into humus, but as Hamas (aka the Ikhwa) is an idea with a potential following of 1.5 billion (many of them now in the West, just look at all the demonstrations), that is once again only a short term "solution".
3) Good to see that TDS is as strong as ever. In the event, the hated orange man had put a lid on the Israel situation by the combination of its policies of energy independence, Abraham accords, and cutting funds to Hamas and the Ayatollhas. Neolib puppet Brandon reversed all that on day 1, and you see the results now. Of course your "mainstream media" will never explain that.

Mark Spahn would probably have a few links that go to other sources than your NYT and WaPo...
