Joy Reid's hair

Joy Reid is a presenter on MS-NBC.  As with most female TV
personalities, I imagine that before she goes on the air, she sits in a
kind of dentist's chair and is worked over by a team of cosmetologists. 
The result is reasonably attractive, but every time I see her, her hair

I wonder whether she has any hair at all, or just goes through a
rotation of fashion wigs.

Far be it from me knowing much if anything about hair and hair fashions, but I think we are talking about "hair extensions" here. I am not even going to pretend I know the exact difference between wigs and hair extensions, but I am pretty sure that they are different things.

From what I understand, you can have fairly short natural hair and just clip on and blend in these hair extensions to get luxuriant, long, fashionable hair, with different styles that you can easily swap out as desired.
