"Star Trek" intros, in English and in German.

- - - - -
Star Trek, the Next Generation

"Space, the final frontier.  These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise, its continuing mission to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no-one has gone before."
- - - - -

Notice that the German intro say a bit more than the English version.

Even the title is different, it's the "next century" instead of the "next generation"

Yeah, the Enterprise never really went outside the Milky Way galaxy. Maybe got close, once, in TOS when "the Enterprise attempt[ed] to cross the Great Barrier at the edge of the galaxy, two crew members develop[ed] powerful ESP abilities which threaten the safety of the crew."

And, Voyager entered "fluidic space" [ https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Fluidic_space ]: an extra-dimensional realm filled with a form of organic fluid and containing no stars or other celestial bodies. Its sole indigenous lifeforms were Species 8472.
So, not only outside the galaxy but outside our space-time continuum.

It could be that a more literal translation of the intro into German sounded dumb. Can't comment, not being a native German speaker.
