No SQL Summer Session #3

Thanks to everyone for coming out tonight. We had 10 people show up
(nine returns and one new). The Dynamo paper was definitely
interesting and brought up lots of questions. I liked Ohad's summary
that the paper/our understanding of it was a bit like Swiss Cheese --
there are a number of holes. So I think the idea of digging deeper
into some of the fundamentals is a good approach.

Thanks to Howard for having already perused the references and helping
us navigate which of those papers to tackle next. It sounds like the
Chord paper [0] should be a good one.

Do we want to pick another short blog post type article like The
Dismal Approach to Concurrency [1] that was the Extra Credit reading
for this week? There was some interesting discussion which came out
of it as we wound down. I'll open it up to the group and wince we
have the main paper nailed down already I'll leave the discussion
regarding extra credit open until this weekend.
