Next Session August 23 -- Cassandra

There is the main paper from the NoSQL Summer official reading list
but there are a couple of additional blog posts which might give some
context and hopefully we might have some people with hands-on
experience attending.

As discussed last weej it looks like we might be lucky enough to have
a few guest speakers as we round out the NoSQL Summer. Owen is
checking with Mike Miller from Cloudant to see if he can join us in
the near future for an in-person discussion around CouchDB. I'm also
exchanging emails with Peter Neubauer of NeoTechnology to join us on
September 24th to discuss Graph Databases and Neo4J. I'll keep
everyone posted.

Just kidding -- we're going to do CouchDB and not Cassandra.

Actually I'm very pleased to announce we had a confirmation from Mike
today that he will be in Vancouver on August 23rd so we're shifting
things up a bit and will be discussing CouchDB. Details of the

(Yep I know the URL still says cassandra but believe me it is going to
be CouchDB)

There is a new twist that we're watching a video of Mike's 2009 NoSQL
East preso. If anyone knows of good supplementary reading please
reply to the list and let us know.
