* CAP Theorm, Harvest Yield, Eventual Consistency, Base
Ideas behind how tradeoff between different properties a system can
have.

Hey,

I can't make this week but I will be able to in two weeks!

My vote for the next topic would be on data query and processing, as we've covered a lot of key/value orientated systems but have not talk about other complex ways to query and deal with this data yet.

Possible papers :-

 * MapReduce, The 1995 SQL Reunion: People, Projects, and Politics, 

I guess this would also fit too: Yahoo's pig http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~olston/publications/sigmod08.pdf

Then maybe also talk a little about  Zip Joins / Pig / Hive / some indexing methods probably too so we cover tools people are using?
