The sequel: TechTalk Grunn!

Hi everybody!

Thanks for a fun dinner last week! As we all agreed during the last
meetings it would be a pity to stop these lively and fun discussions.
We are all interested in everything related to internet technology and
there are tons of topics we can have lively debates about. That's why
I propose to continue with these meetings in a slightly different
setting. My proposal:

What: TechTalk Grunn.
When: Every first <tuesday> of the month, 20:30-22:00
Starting: november 2nd
Where: Paylogic office (Oude Boteringestraat 28, Groningen)

I did a quick braindump on possible topics and added them to a list
that you can edit/extend yourself (please do!):

Please add your own topics to the list and enter a chair(man/woman) if
you know one. Besides that you should create a column with your name
and give points the three topics that you would like to discuss during
the meeting after the coming one. This means the deadline is exactly
one month before the meeting itself so there is plenty of room to get
familiar with the topic. The topic with most points wins.

If we agree on the name I will create a new mailinglist/google-group
and setup a little webpage for TechTalk Grunn.

Please let me know what you think of my proposal and don't forget to
edit the topic list and invite other people over for the first
meeting!

Hi all!

Reactions to my initial mail were very slow and a number of participants declined for at least the first meeting. That's why I didn't arrange anything for the first meeting. By now there are 6 persons who filled out the Google Document with their preferred topics, which is starting to look a bit more promising. I propose to have our first meeting in December. Ivor, and hopefully a few extra participants can join then. Good idea?
