Although it's not exactly NoSQL Summer - in the spirit of NoSQL education the Riptano guys asked me to pass along that they are offering a one day training class on Cassandra in Denver on Friday September 10th.  Details below.

Hi Jon,
Would you be willing to let members of your NoSQL summer website know that next week Jonathan Ellis will be doing a training on Cassandra in Denver?

As you know, Jonathan is the chair of the Apache Cassandra project, and he is coming into town to do a public training on how to build scalable applications on Cassandra.

The training will cover installation and configuration, application design, basics of Cassandra internals, operations, and tuning and troubleshooting. Jonathan will also discuss how to think in column families rather than a relational scheme design and how Cassandra replication works with no single point of failure. Throughout the day, he will be sharing a few good war stories as well.

Those interested can register at http://www.eventbrite.com/event/756085472.
