third nosql-summet meeting in barcelona

Hi all,

Thanks again to all of you for coming and let me invite those
of your that didn't come to join us in our third "round".

I have setup doodle poll for deciding the paper we will be discussing
next meeting:

I'll close the poll by the end of this week and pick the winner, so it
will be published in the web for several days.

Next meeting will be held on Thursday, 5th August at
18'30 o'clock. That's good for everybody?

Other issue, meeting place. Last time we meet at a bar next to
Telefonica's place. It was nice, and if nobody suggest some other
place (I am fine going anywhere in Barcelona), we will meet again at
Telefonica I+D place.

Since people might be on vacations, I would ask you to RSVP via this
mail-list or sending me an email. If we can meet at least 4 or 5, the
meeting will go on, otherwise It will be delayed a bit.

Last meeting, people showed interest in MapReduce technology. It is a
very interesting distributed programming paradigm (and framework) that
we would like to discuss more in depth this time or maybe another
time. Just FYI.

Hi all,

Finally we have to put off the third nosql-summer-barcelona meeting.

Next meeting is supposed to happen in two weeks, i.e. 19August. I'll
be on vacations and far away from Barcelona, so I am not able to
organize the next meeting. If anyone wants to take over and organize a
meeting in August, please feel free to do so and, furthermore, I
encourage you to do so. On Septembre, I will schedule another couple
of meetings.

Not many people attend the meetings, but those that assist, I have the
feeling that they enjoy discussions and everyone of us learn lessons
from others. So, let me, again, encourage all of you to attend the
meetings in August or September (last month).
