I was thinking that it might be good to have a single user "mode" for
NoseRub.

In my case I use NoseRub on my personal website mainly as a
aggregator, FriendFeed style.
The URL is lancewicks.com/noserub/lancew

In my case that site will never have more than just me using it, so
it'd be great to have lancewicks.com/noserub be the equivalent to
lancewicks.com/noserub/lancew

The idea being that my social network can span across lots of
individual installations with single users as well as large sites with
multiple users like Identoo.com.

Hi Lance,
Yes, such a feature would be useful. And we (Dirk and I) already
discussed it a while ago, though we never implemented anything in this
direction...

The "problem" is, at least in my opinion, that the requirements for a
"single user" NoseRub are quite different than those for a "public"
NoseRub like identoo (plus you can imagine other modes which could
also be useful). And so you would end up with two (or more)
applications in a single application, and that's something you don't
want to have ;-) Maybe it would be more useful to have different
NoseRub applications for different use cases, all sharing the same
core functionality.

Regards,
daniel
