Dear residents of Norwood, Orchards, Cheltondale and The Gardens,

We hosted a successful public meeting on the FTTH initiative on Wednesday 4 November. Attached find a summarised version of the presentation.

It is vital to register your interest – streets with the greatest concentration of interest will be prioritised for rollout. Do this at: http://www.vulacom.com/#how-to-get-fibre

The construction of poles within residential premises will help us to speed up rollout. This involves the following:

-          Either a pole planting excavation machine will be used or a suitable hole will be dug inside the property.

-          If the minimum depth was not achieved concrete will be casted to ensure the integrity and durability of the pole.

-          In the event that the pole could not be installed in soil the sufficient surface reinstatement will be conducted to its original or better state.

-          Afterwards the cable stringing team will install the fibre into the premises.

-          Access build team will install aerial fibre hook on the structure

-          Aerial fibre will be extended from the main run to the resident’s house and enter the through the cantilever/overhang of the roof.

-          The fibre cable will then be extended to the preferred point of termination.

-          Here the fibre termination box will be mounted.

-          Finally the splicing team will terminate and test the fibre.

If you are willing to allow the installation of a pole on your property, please contact Alfie Martins on alf...@iafrica.com

If you have any questions relating to the rollout, please contact Alfie Martins on alf...@iafrica.com

Kind regards,

Brett McDougall
