I was asked by Mr Chadwick on Wednesday last week to send a letter to him that I support the move of the City Parks Depot to CYDNA.

(Please see email below). This was the first time that I became aware of this.

 

I was asked by Mr Chadwick and Betsy Malope from JPC not to consult with R/As as it will hold the process up. And that Public Participation would follow. You will see from the letter that it refers to me as the Councillor of Ward 74 which I am not. I am also not in any position to approve this move as I do not have authority over Ward 74.

 

I have consulted with my Political Leadership and they agreed that I should absolutely send it out to the R/As.

 

Please try to send your comments before Friday, the 10th of June. We have asked for an extension for comments in the mean time.

 

We have been given a ridiculous timeline to submit comments as you will see from the attached letter.

 

Please send your comments to Betsy Malope at BMa...@jhbproperty.co.za and Cc myself and Dave Fisher (candidate for Ward 74) on dfi...@unique-technology.co.za so that we can keep track of your comments.
