We are excited to announce the recruitment for the position of a Makerspace Manager, and we believe that your community is filled with individuals who could be the perfect fit – Would you be able to share it with your group?.

As a Makerspace Manager, you will be at the helm of fostering an innovative environment, guiding both students and teachers alike to channel their creativity, imagination, and skills. We aim to instill an ethos of invention, collaboration, and practical problem-solving within our school, and we believe the Makerspace is a pivotal hub to achieve this.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing daily operations of the Makerspace.
  • Managing equipment, tools, and materials, including training and safety.
  • Planning and organising workshops, educational activities, and training sessions.
  • Collaborating with faculty to integrate the Makerspace resources into the curriculum.
  • Engaging with students, staff, and wider community to promote the Makerspace.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Experience working in/managing a Makerspace or similar setting.
  • Strong technical skills in a wide array of tools and equipment.
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and people management skills.
  • Passion for making, education, and empowering others to create.

This role provides an opportunity to shape the creative heart of our institution and inspire the next generation of makers, innovators, and problem solvers. The City of London School offers a salary range of between £38,360 - £43,050 per year along with benefits and a supportive and dynamic working environment that overlooks the Thames and the amazing London skyline.
