Following a consultation of interested members it was decided to try the laser cutter in the middle workshop. Preparations like widening the door way where completed about two years ago when the idea was first muted. After clearing the room, the floor was carpeted with carpet tiles donated by the landlord. The plan was to have the laser cutter out of action for as little as possible.
Network was cable was run and the vent hole through the window made along with fixing the hose in place. When everything wa ready the laser cutter was rolled into the new room along with the computer desk and computer. Within two hours the first test cut was made.
That was two weeks ago. Today the final stage of changing the hose to 6" diameter and including the filter box was completed.
So now the laser cutter can be used without disturbing the members in the main room and also in the colder months it is easier to heat the new smaller room.

It looks brilliant! Makes a really nice work area, can manage work flow without making a mess or getting in the way of others.
