Good morning NWD!

I have been meaning to write to you all for some time now.
However, the ministry work at Lee Park Baptist has been quite time-
consuming! Each day is comprised of a 50-minute drive to the office
and a 50 to 55-minute drive back home. The blessing in this is that
the drive to the office is inspirationally beautiful. There is quite
a bit of farmland between my home and my office. Each morning, I get
to see the sunrise and ponder the vastness of God and the universe
that He designed. I get to see the diversity of people, families, and
communities in just a few miles radius of Mecklenburg and Union
Counties. The drive brings the day's upcoming tasks into proper
perspective and I usually stop planning and start praising. This has
been a good thing for me!
Over the last month, it has become very obvious that God is
moving. The Spirit of God is moving among the congregation. There is
a hunger to commune with Him, to study His Word, and to respond to His
to will. In fact, I have modified my mission statement as a result of
it. The Spirit of God is moving in the community. Folks from several
denominations are coming to hear the Word at Lee Park and to
experience His presence. The Spirit of God is moving in me. He has
taken me out of several comfort zones and proving again and again that
He is faithful and that I am an incomplete work in Christ.
I hear excellent things about your faithfulness in service, as
well. It is a great encouragement to me to hear of the ministry work
that continues at Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Andrew, Nancy, Donna,
Josh, and Beth speak consistently of how well everything is going.
That is terrific news to hear. Continue to love Him with all your
being at home, at work, and at church. Do you sense His desire for
you? If you do, respond to that desire. If you cannot answer that
question...re-tune your heart to His Spirit because the noise of the
world may have cluttered the signal.
Please continue to pray for me, Vince, Ellis, and Liam. Though
we recognize that we are blessed to know Him and belong to Him, we
also recognize that we are imperfect humans in a world sullied by
sin. Attempting to keep the pace of a rapidly growing church, nurture
a loving and godly marriage, parent two impressionable boys, and
continue to grow as God intends for us to grow is a challenge. I am
also continuing to pray for you all. Nancy and many others have kept
me in the loop regarding specific prayer concerns for many of you.
Pray for and encourage one another by sharing that you're praying and
thinking of each other.

Thinking of you often,
Jason
