Scott: I am needing your support to get a reporter to contact me and come to my house on Saturday, September 29th between 6P-8P. I have 10 Northwood High students, and Northwood's musicians who are heading up a fundraiser for an extremely ill Northwood student, age 16. She has the an illness that some doctors refuse to treat her because they simply don't know how. All she wants to do is go to school, be normal and interact with her friends You cannot even imagine what this 16 year old has been through and I cannot see her suffer any more, we need to make happiness for her. Below you will find her story: In the meantime, I need to work fast and get coverage support for our event, will you come or promise me that you can send someone? Please immediately reply to my e-mail so I can assist you in any way. Additionally, this is the invitation that my daughter and friend sent out: You are cordially invited to join us as we celebrate a heroic battle for 16 year old Risha Shukla, who has endured more than 30 medical procedures - including two transplants and the removal of a tumor. Risha has been suffering from pancreatitis since the age of 3, leaving her in extreme pain on a daily basis and requiring the removal of her spleen, gall bladder, appendix, pancreas, as well as a partial resection of her small bowel and duodenum.
Risha's illness prevented her from going to school last year and again this year. She is determined to fight this battle, go to school, and become a doctor to help find a cure for many of the medical conditions she and other children like her are fighting. Her number one request is to be a normal high school student and attend school and unite with friends.
This fun evening is being hosted by Amber Aviles & Larisa Bokota, along with other Northwood High students & musicians to recognize Risha's fighting spirit. There is no charge for this event but we hope that you can contribute any amount that you are comfortable with to help this local teen. Hors d'oeuvres and desserts will be passed throughout the evening by our Northwood students along with music by Northwood's talented musicians. Beer and Wine will also be served at this Adult only Cocktail Fund-raiser, along with a chance to win some cool prizes. All donations are tax deductible and can be made online at www.cotaforrishas.comor checks can be made payable to COTA (Children's Organ Transplant Association, Attn: Risha Shukla) to benefit Risha's transplant related medical expenses. Her medical expenses have exceeded over $25,000 in co-pays, and the total billed to insurancehas been over $1,800,000 just in this last year!
So, please join Risha's army in her battle against pancreatitis - SHE. WILL. WIN. -Amber Aviles & Larisa Bokota Amber Aviles & Larisa Bokota Thank you and best regards, Diane Aviles Client Service Coordinator / Irvine Education Specialist Aviles Real Estate Group (949) 981 0788 Cell |
