[Ellis Homestead] Duck Egg Season Has Begun

The ducks have been laying regularly for a few weeks now. We have 2 female Cayuga's and 1 female Rouen that lay pretty much every day once the season begins.



Duck eggs are a bit more chewy than a chicken or turkey egg, but the taste is relatively the same. I have heard from a few chefs that they are great for making pasta for that reason.

There are only about 1 1/2 dozen available each week so you'd better get them fast.

We sell half dozens for $3 and a full for $6
